When I worked at Ad Vantage Productions, my boss was all hot to do morphing. So we purchased Morph Plus, a package for the Amiga. We never did get to use it. I played with it a little, as did Steve, the multi-talented video-tech guy. It seemed to me, after using the program a bit, that such a thing should be possible with Lightwave, but I didn't play much with the idea.
It hit me one sunny day how to do it using Modeler and Lightwave. So I sat down and did it.
At first I had a three stage method, which involved saving out the frames from two separate scenes, and doing a third scene to put the final morph together, but I knew there was a way to do it in one step. It eluded me, however
Then one day I revisited the original scene, and it hit me. The one thing I was missing finally made sense, and in minutes, I had it working in one step.
If I publish the article, I may post a summary here, with scene files to help you do it yourself.
